Heidi is the author of three best selling North Light books; "Wizard Crafts", "Pet Crafts" and "Fairy Crafts". She has a Fine Art degree and has taught workshops and classes at art centers and schools for over a decade.
There is an excellent reference section at the beginning of the book. There are twenty pages of introduction to jewelry tools, wire and thread, beads and findings along with lots of designs and techniques. This section alone is worth the price of the book! The instructions are easy enough for the beginner and the projects are challenging enough for the more advanced bead lover. The fifty three quick and easy projects include classic designs for necklaces, ear rings and bracelets and lots of home decor projects. There are frames, napkin rings, candle holders, boxes, and bookmarks. The "simply beautiful beading" projects will be fun to create for your self and will make great gifts. My favorite project: the "Wire Leaf Bookmark". This book will be added to my ever growing beading library.
